Finally... I'm hired..

Alhamdulillah, praise to Allah.. Finally I got something to do to get money in making our life better. 

Allah's plan is much better as at of time I feel like despair in getting myself hired. The monthly commitment is there, but we are unable to settle it down perfectly. At the same time, we managed to get the key of our new house which we bought last 2 years. When the key is in your hand, then you have to start the monthly payment. So, additional commitment.. Luckily, I got a very supportive family especially my beloved sister and my mum which do help us a lot.. ( crying mode..terharu..). Only Allah is able to response to all of your kindness.. 

As in my previous entry, I just shared the experience of having an interview session. Again, luckily, on 11/5/2012 while I was in Kuala Lumpur (just prepared myself for my Master's convocation the next day, 12/5/2012), I got a phone call from Smart (can refer from this). The first word that came out from the HR manager is CONGRATULATION.. You just can imagine what I feel at that time.. She just let me know that I'm hired and I need to go to Smart on 16/5/2012 to sign the offer letter.. Then, I'll start working on 21/5/2012..

21 May 2012

Today is my first day working at Smart.. There was only a briefing session, factory tour, opening the bank account, so on so forth on the first half day.. I'm not alone whereby, there is 1 Indian guy which got the same post with me. After lunch, we met our boss. Private sector is different from government sector. The time is against us. What I mean is, they are working hard to meet the deadline. Something like that lorr. =) The work is ready for me.. huhuhhhhhhh.. Going back at 9PM on the first day is a bit terrible. What a hectic day... I missed my son, my hubby, my mum which do take care of my son while I'm working. Everything.. I think of,  will I able to stand on this situation for a long time?? Yes, working as a lecturer also need an excellent time management. When there is night class, you still need to go back at night.. I just coax myself as I need money to settle everything. However, I found that, I can gain something in my career while working here. Of course, I mixed with all races. English is become like their mother tongue. So, I have to improve myself to compete with them.. Here, the more you perform, the more you get. So, they based on performance.. No discrimination. No 'bodek-bodek orang atas' as well. On Tuesday morning (8AM), we have a conference call with US FA (Failure Analysis) team. While on Thursday, the time for con-call is at 7.30PM.. normally it will end at 10-11PM..  Just imagine that I need to travel alone.. 

My son is already wake up.. so, pen off.

p/s:::need to search for other job.. hahhahaa..

Amsyar dah setahun!!!!!!!!

Alhamdulillah, anak ummi adn abi dah genap setahun 7 Mei aritu..

Selamat Ulangtahun perkahwinan jugak buat kakak and abg ipar ku.

yang ke berapa ntah?? bila tanya abg ipar aku, dia kata yang ke-3.. 

anak sulung dah 17 tahun.. kompiuss kejap.. hehehe..

Bulan ini bulan interview

Alhamdulillah, Mei 2012 adalah bulan interview untuk ku.. Tetap bersyukur walaupun masih belum ada khabar yang dinanti-nanti.. Sekurang-kurangnya ada la harapan tu.. Masa ja belum tau bila.. Sesunggguhnya hanya Dia lebih mengetahui apa yang terbaik untuk ku.. Jom kongsi pengalaman interbiu..

My first interview - Pembantu Makmal Gred C4-1.. 23/1/2012

Surat jawapan baru sampai tadi.. Keputusannya dukacita.. Menang dah agak masa interview lagi.. Post tu untuk SPM punya.. Aku pulak betul bendul pegi bgtau ada degree.. Abis la.. Siap kena marah...

2nd interview - CPI Penang

Interview untuk post QA Engineer.. Awal-awal lagi dah sentap.. Bgtau tgh tunggu konvo untuk master.. 

Dah dia suruh apply lecturer.. Failed lagi..

3rd interview -NCS Solution (agensi ni)

Yang ni ada ujian bertulis.. Memang aku xready langsung.. Siap suruh lukis schematic motherboard.. Masa study pun tak penah lukis.. Hmmm.. Boleh agak la kan result dia.. Mission failed..

4th interview - IDT Technology (17/4/2012)

Ni interview untuk post Test/Product Engineer. IDT is a semiconductor based company.. Dah memang out jugak kalau nak ikutkan tu.. aku ni pure electrical engineering.. electronic tu belajar la jugak.. Since aku meet diorang punya requirement (tau solid state device, tau programming skit-skit, ada belajar digital system..), nampak macam ada harapan la.. Tapi, hingga ke saat ini aku tertunggu-tunggu panggilan itu.. yang kedengaran Wonderpets je dok nyanyi petang-petang tu..♫ telefon..♪telefon berbunyi..♬ huhuhu..

But, I gained a lot of new things during this interview session.. antara soalan-soalan yang ditanya::

"How flexible you are since you got one child??"

"Being a test engineer is not as a easy as you think".

"Going back at night is considered as a normal working hour for test engineer.. of course it does not happen everyday". 

Interviewer tu seolah-olah cuba provoke aku dengan cabaran yang bakal ditempuh.. 

macam nak suruh aku jawab, 

"eh, ye ke.. saya tak nak la kalau keja macam tu.."

dah siap interbiu dengan bos.. nak tunggu HR, HR lak busy dengan audit.. 

bila aku tanya chances, dia kata, "my boss and I will work out to hire you.."

hmmm... tak ada pun until now.. padahal kilang tu dengan kilang my hubby cuma 1.4km je.. 

God knows the best.. 

5th interview - Smart Storage System (8/5/2012)

Actually my hubby yang tolong foward kan resume aku pada kawan dia yang keja kat sini.. SSS is a manufacturer for USB, HDD, yang guna dalam komputer tu la.. company yang besar.. and aku dipanggil untuk interview for management trainee (FA/Test engineer).. Interview session yang paling sempoi bagi aku setakat ni. siap ber "gimme 5" dengan interviewers. ada 5 orang interviewers yang interview aku.. jenuh jawab soklan.. ada sorang interviewers tu siap print soalan-soalan yang bakal ditanya.. berpeluh la jugak.. soalan yang sama ditanya, "How flexible you are since you got one child??".. penat rasa nak jawab soalan camtu.. of course la I dah ready and plan everything sebelum I find out any vacancy.. ecehh.. yoyo oo je.. Management trainee ni lebih kurang macam diorang punya contribution la to help society.. dia hire fresh grad and trained to be expert engineer dan dibayar gaji bulanan seperti engineer yang dah establish.. ok la.. at least tak da la kita ternganga-nganga bila nak start keja.. everything will be train.. 

soalan-soalan pelik ketika interview::

"Siti, there is no right or wrong answer.. U just imagine.. U saw a ship sailed in the sea. What is the first word comes to your mind about the type of the ship?".. it is a cargo, combat, cruise??

"Second question, again..just imagine.. U are at the waterfall. In the range of 1 to 10, can you rate the speed of the water at the waterfall.." Your answer will show what type of person you are..

hmmmm.. macam-macam style interview kan.. ada lagi satu soalan:

"Imagine you are on top of the hill with certain angle. There is one wheel and you have to push the wheel down the hill. Which part of the wheel will experience the highest velocity??" jawab jangan tak jawab..

macam main teka-teki pun ada..

resultnya lagi 2 minggu.. 

ok.. esok interview lagi. Kat kilang en suami.. FasTrack programme..  hopefully ada sinar harapan.. 

p/s::: apa pulak soalan yang bakal ditanya esok ni.. mimpi siap-siap la satgi..
